Switched at Birth - no captions on Netflix!!

Of all the ironies, only the first couple episodes of Switched at Birth have captions on Netflix.  A show that has the power to increase awareness about the Deaf world, inaccessible to Deaf.  So stupid!

Did you use Netflix streaming videos ? if yes, then it is suck.
NAD already wrote a letter to Netflix about streaming videos that we complained for years .

It's Netflix, they're extremely behind when it comes to captioning their streaming content.

there are several deaf-themed movies without captions (bridge to Silence, And My Name is Jonah, etc.), and it seems since Netflix is facing TWO lawsuits (1 from NAD, the other from Don Cullen) they have STOPPED adding captions to their new material. they have been hovering at 30% captioned rate since June.

Yes, I just found the show yesterday and watched the first 3 episodes on Netflix. Then today I find the rest of the 10 episodes not subtitled!!! I was devastated because I was really enjoying it and everything is just like I feel as I am deaf since 2 from meningitis. I am trying to figure out how to find the rest of The season captioned. No DVD set out yet, ugh!!

Turns out we can watch the rest of the episodes on the official site at ABC. Just go to http://abcfamily.go.com/shows/switched-at-birth/videos and you can watch them with captions. The only thing that sucks is the captions are separate and underneath the video so you can't watch full screen.

This is good. The show tries to support deaf awareness. Without captions people are allowed to learn a few words in sigm language to understand the show. The show was made for this purpose.
