No free VP through ZVRS?
I do not currently have a VP. If I go to ZVRS, it looks like everything is free if I trade in my Sorenson VP, but if I do not have a VP, then I need to pay??
Sorenson VP is free for me. It seems like if ZVRS wants business of new customers, they should offer the same deal as porting customers from Sorenson. Otherwise, I might just choose Sorenson for my first VP.
Anyone have any advice? I know it's a hot topic right now.

I recommend calling ZVRS support at 866-932-7891 and asking to be transferred to their sales dept. A rep will be able to answer your questions.
However, as I understand it if you are porting a number from your Sorenson VP-200 you can get a discount on a new Z phone I believe. I currently have a Z-150 which I paid $300 for, a Z-340 which I got for free as an employee 3 years ago(demo model), and the Z4 software on my laptop/ipad. So, I am unsure what the sales plans are now...but am pretty sure that if you port a Sorenson number..you should get a reasonable deal. The new Z-20 phone looks nice to me...and definitely is expensive..just check out Tanenberg's website.
Disclaimer: I am an ex-employee of ZVRS and their sales plans were very different back then.
The Z-20 will cost me $995 whereas it is free for someone trading in their Sorenson VP.
Is my business as a *new* customer not as valuable as luring a customer away from Sorenson? Isn't ZVRS worried that I will choose the *free* phones from Sorenson?
I use logitech 9000 pro, Z4 software download from Z and of course high speed.
It is working well with point to point VP even leave message if I am not on computer.
Here is the link for "my first VP":

I still wish I could get a Z-20 for free as a new customer!
I have been a Sorenson user for many years and its perfect! Fast service too!

Call up Sorenson and get the VP-200 (more likely to get faster since they are being traded for the NVP.)
Once you have your VP-200, call up ZVRS Sales and ask them to port from VP-200 to the Z20.
Voila, free VP!
